We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our busy Payroll team. They will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, while adhering to company policies and Greek Labor Law regulations. This role involves verifying payroll data, calculating wages and deductions, maintaining payroll records, and resolving any discrepancies. They also play a crucial role in compliance, preparing tax information, and generating reports.
As a Payroll Analyst - Finance, your daily responsibilities will include:

Assist in payroll preparation and execution.

Maintain employee records (hires, leaves, terminations).

Ensure compliance with Greek tax and labor regulations.

Respond to employee payroll-related queries.

Verify and validate that all payroll data is accurate, coherent, and consistent.

Support payroll/hr/ finance audits by providing necessary reports and information.

Identify abnormalities or potential payroll errors to avoid unnecessary company costs and employee dissatisfaction.

Organize and maintain payroll records to ensure up-to-date monthly and annual information is always available.

Stay current with monthly and annual obligations as well as the latest changes in labor laws.

Calculate company expenses related to employee compensation.

Apply a critical and analytical perspective to payroll processes.
To succeed in the role, you will need to have:
- Proficient level of English AND Greek language (C1/C2 at least) with strong verbal and written communication skills
- At least 1–2 years of experience within a payroll processing team
- Knowledge of Greek payroll law and social security contributions
- Strong Excel skills
- Familiarity with payroll software
- Knowledge of HRMS Scan Suite would be considered a plus
- A curiosity and passion for Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and applications - experience of application/use of these in a business environment would be a plus
- Must hold EU citizenship or valid work permit for Greece
- Must be within commutable distance to the office (Victoria, Athens area) as the role is hybrid.
