Summary of Responsibilities

  • Technical manager for the site and fully responsible for its functionality, maintenance, software applications, hardware and the security and recovery of all data. 
  • Hands-on role maintaining the functions of the site which will include support for the facility’s LAN, WAN and internet connection. 
  • Maintaining the network hardware and software. 
  • Configuration, maintenance and upgrading all site servers. 
  • Monitoring and performing all data backup and recovery processes. 
  • Setting up login and e-mail accounts. 
  • Works with servers, workstations, and printers on the network and in standalone environments. 
  • Monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity is required. 
  • Maintains records and documentation concerning the network, server, and LAN/WAN configurations - this includes system and network monitoring and performance analysis. 
  • Mentors the Site System Support and Site System Support Senior associates. 
  • Where necessary (when a Site System Support Senior associate is not available), the Site System Support Admin will also be responsible for the duties as they are outlined in the Site System Support Senior position description. This includes providing first support for end users and clients as necessary. 
  • Follows and enforces the corporate policies and procedures for maintaining and enforcing the highest standards of security as set out by the corporation. 

Position Qualifications

  • Provides corporate-wide approved solutions to correct or support the end users’ requests or issues. 
  • Ensures corporate standards are in place and enforced. 
  • Defines, develops and maintains production environments. 
  • Controls user access. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (PC and Server) and Microsoft Office, including installation, configuration, recovery, and administration. 
  • Extensive LAN and WAN networking skills. 
  • Tape backup and restore procedures. 
  • Ability to manage others and set priorities. 
  • May require lifting (generally less than 20 pounds) during maintenance/repair of equipment. 
     

Work Experience

  • 5 years of experience in similar capacity preferred 
  • Background in Windows NT, 2000, .NET, Microsoft Office (MCSE) 
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiatives with minimum direction 
  • Ability to manage and direct others; experience with large enterprise environments 

Education

  • BA or BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar program; or equivalent work experience. 
  • MCSE Preferred. 
     

Salary Range

The base pay range for this position is up to $23 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience.
