About the Role

We are looking for an Intermediate Platform Engineer to help design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure and developer platform. You will work alongside senior engineers to help our teams ship software faster, safer, and more reliably. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll gain exposure to modern platform engineering practices while contributing to the foundational systems that power our products.

What You'll Do

Platform & Infrastructure

• Build and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure on AWS
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modules, state management, drift detection)
• Contribute to our internal developer platform (IDP) to improve developer experience and velocity
• Support and maintain Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for automated deployments
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response

Backend & Architecture

• Write clean, maintainable automation scripts and tooling
• Help design and implement APIs for platform services
• Contribute to observability solutions (logging, monitoring, alerting)
• Support microservices architecture and containerization best practices

Collaboration

• Work closely with development teams to understand their infrastructure needs
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions
• Document platform services and runbooks
• Collaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

• 2-4 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
• Strong experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda)
• Solid hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes (deployments, services, configmaps, secrets)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools (Argo CD, Flux)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Go programming language
• Exposure to Backstage or other developer portal solutions
• Familiarity with policy engines (Kyverno, OPA)
• Experience with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd)
• Knowledge of Argo CD for GitOps deployments
• Basic understanding of cloud cost optimization
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
