Overview

The VP Marketing Operations and Chief of Staff, you will serve as the operational core and strategic advisor to Foundever's CMO, responsible for translating marketing strategy into streamlined execution across the US Marketing organization. This role combines departmental leadership with serving as the marketing technology center of excellence supporting US and EMEA markets. This requires a leader who can drive accountability, optimize processes and systems, and ensure executional excellence at scale.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Frameworks

  • Act as the strategic right-hand to the CMO, leading annual and quarterly planning cycles, driving departmental priorities, and managing leadership team agendas.
  • Establish the enterprise KPI and analytics framework for the marketing department, defining success metrics that drive marketing influenced opportunities, pipeline generation, and brand awareness growth.
  • Lead global marketing technology center of excellence, establishing vendor relationships, technology standards, and cross-regional MarTech support while partnering with regional teams on implementation.
  • Define the long-term MarTech vision and lead department-wide AI adoption strategy, ensuring the marketing organization leverages emerging technologies to optimize campaign performance, automate workflows, and enhance decision-making across all functions.
  • Own and design the overarching marketing project management framework and agile principles.
  • Ensure high levels of data quality, accuracy and process consistency in planning, forecasting and budgeting across the marketing organisation

Team Leadership & Strategic Operations

  • Build team capabilities and mentor marketing professionals across MarTech, digital marketing, and analytics functions to enhance strategic thinking and execution excellence.
    Assess and optimize the team responsible for the MarTech roadmap, platform management (including marketing automation, CRM, ABM platforms, analytics tools, and sales enablement technologies), and all system integrations.
  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on coaching to the digital marketing function, overseeing the strategy and performance of owned (website, SEO, email), paid (social, display, ABM), and earned media.
  • Evaluate and strengthen the market intelligence function to arm sales and marketing with actionable insights, overseeing the development of target account scoring, custom research, and client dossiers.
  • Ensure the successful execution of end-to-end marketing workflows by overseeing the team managing campaign intake, sprint planning, and SLA enforcement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance

  • Act as a key operational partner to the leaders of Creative, Campaign Management, and Sales Enablement, driving the cross-functional alignment needed to instill project discipline, and streamline campaign development.
  • Partner with Sales Operations on shared technology, data governance, and lead management processes to optimize lead scoring, routing, and funnel tracking.
    Guide the optimization of lead management processes, holding your team accountable for lead scoring, routing, and funnel tracking in partnership with Sales.
  • Guide the marketing budget process and provide final approval on key vendor contracts and SLAs.
    Liaise with Data Privacy, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Corporate Communications and EMEA Marketing as needed to maintain governance, ensure cross-regional alignment, and uphold enterprise standards.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in marketing operations, technology, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • A "player-coach" mindset with deep, prior hands-on expertise in core marketing automation and CRM platforms (specifically HubSpot and Salesforce), enabling you to provide credible, intelligent strategic guidance and mentorship to your team.
  • Proven experience acting as a strategic advisor to a marketing executive, with a demonstrated ability to translate business goals into actionable operational plans.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience guiding budget processes and managing vendor relationships.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to partner with senior leaders and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Global experience across EMEA, LATAM and APAC considered an asset
