Position Overview


The Deployment engineer holds the primary responsibility of deploying software to FoundEver endpoints through Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. Additionally, this role supports the patch management processes for both Microsoft and third-party applications. As a vital member of the Software Delivery Engineering team, the  collaborates closely with site IT departments to ensure consistent software deployment across all endpoints, encompassing both in-center and remote locations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as the initial point of contact for the Software Delivery Engineering team, ensuring validation of tickets with proper approvals before proceeding.
  • If unable to personally complete assigned tasks, appropriately route tickets within the broader Software Delivery Engineering/W@H Team for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate ticket tracking records, recorded actions taken, and provided supplemental SCCM reporting for deployment status verification.
  • Possess a robust IT background spanning various domains. Previous experience in global, multidisciplinary teams is advantageous.


Technical Competencies:



  •  Proficient use of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM) to:
    • Create software packages.
    • Deployment of software packages, patches, and updates.
    • Generate deployment reports for software packages, patches, and updates.
  • Management of third-party software updates using PatchMyPC.
  • Creation and maintenance of collections, including routine housekeeping.
  • Client deployment and health reporting.
  • Adherence to company standards and procedures.
  • Continual awareness of technical developments and trends in the field of expertise, providing insights and recommendations to the team and management.
  • Effective collaboration with SDE members and global IT teams.
  • Contribution to company objectives by:
    • Demonstrating alignment with FoundEver Values.
    • Adhering to FoundEver policies and guidelines.
    • Executing directives from leadership.


Education and Experience Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of related education and training.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following technologies:
    • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM).
    • Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager MDM.
    • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with Operating Systems, Application Deployment, and Patch Management using SCCM.
  • Over four (4) years of systems administration experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
  • Extensive expertise in command-line operations and PowerShell scripting.
  • Preferred certification: Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
  • Demonstrated experience in GPO creation, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in user/application/endpoint management, setup, and scripting.
  • Familiarity with virtualization environments, such as Hyper-V, VMware, etc.
  • Previous experience with Office 365.
  • Proficiency in using remote control software like TeamViewer and SCCM Remote Control.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex endpoint issues using Windows event logs or SCCM logs.
  • Prior exposure to third-party patch management tools, e.g., BigFix, Patch My PC.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V, DISM, WDS, Windows AIK, and Azure.
  • Knowledgeable about Windows 11.
  • Familiarity with package creation utilizing InstallShield.
  • Skill in Orca and the creation of MSI transform files.
  • Awareness of Amazon Workspaces.
  • Understanding of IPv4 networking.
  • Advantageous experience in global call center/outsourcing settings.
  • Exposure to working within an ITIL environment.
