Your interview

An interview with us will normally take between 30-45 minutes. You will be asked a number of questions designed to see if you are a good fit for the role.

Remember to:
➢ Take your time and answer honestly.
➢ If you haven’t been in a specific situation, tell the interviewer what you would do if you were in that situation.
➢ If you don’t understand a question, don’t be afraid to ask for it to be repeated.
➢ Speak clearly and vary your tone to show you’re interested and enthusiastic.
➢ Take time to think about each question before answering so you can give a good response.
➢ Don’t allow your answers to go off subject.
➢ And….remember, we are looking for someone with the right behaviours, willing to learn and enthusiastic. Believe in yourself.

A good example of the type of questions you will be asked are below:

Q. Call Centre roles can be repetitive. How do you motivate yourself to deliver good customer service on every call?
A. Talk about your enthusiasm for the role, how you intend to help people and solve their issues.

Q. Why is Customer Service important?
A. Think about it from your point of view, how does it feel when you receive bad customer service.

Q. Give me an example of when you have demonstrated empathy in the work environment?
A. Above everything we are looking for people who take the time to see things from the customers point of view, are calm and kind on the phone. Make sure you get across how important this is.

Q. Why should we employ you?
A. The interview is asking you to sell yourself as a professional.

Group exercise

We may run a group exercise as it’s a great way to see your communication and problem-solving skills in action, and to ensure that you can work effectively in a team. The member of the recruitment you have spoken to will provide an exact overview of what assessments you will be undertaking.

The most likely scenarios will see you support the group in completing a task that has been set, whether that involves discussing a particular issue or analysing a situation and coming up with a plan.

Remember – You don’t need to be the loudest in the group or have the most ideas. The best way to impress the assessors is to show yourself as a good team player be flexible, and listen to what others are saying.

An example of group exercise scenarios you could encounter are:

The Marshmallow Challenge

Per team, you will need 1 large marshmallow, 20 sticks of dried spaghetti, 1 metre of string, 1 metre of sticky tape, scissors and 1 pen.

Your goal is to make the tallest tower in 15 minutes using the tools above.
• The tower MUST be free standing
• The tower must support the weight of the marshmallow
• The marshmallow must be the highest point on the structure

What is the interviewer looking for?

Have you worked together as a team? Did you communicate with one another? Was everyone involved in the exercise? Was there a leader? How did you deal with differences of opinion? Did you think creatively about how you could build the tower?

Remember, we want you to succeed in your assessments. Here at Foundever we are looking to hire the best talent, you don’t have to have the highest qualifications or the best education but what we are looking for is someone who has great communication skills, empathy a positive attitude and is willing to learn.

#FoundeverLife Stories

I started as an agent and I never thought of stepping up until my supervisor advised me that I have more to offer. After 8 months of taking calls, I got promoted.

Foundever showed me that there are chances for everyone to grow, as long as you put effort in the things you want to do.

I joined Foundever 7 years ago as a Team Manager, intending for it to be a stop gap and it was the best decision I made for my career.
