Job Summary

18-month temporary fully bilingual French/ English Employee Relations Specialist will report to the People Services branch of Human Resources for North America. Employee Relations work is focused on promoting a positive workplace environment through employee communication and engagement and resolving employment conflicts. 

Summary of Responsibilities

• Provides employee relations services to Foundever Managers and Employees such as: investigating employee and/or supervisor complaints regarding conduct, performance, or attendance, mediation between employees, monitoring diversity/equal employment opportunity program compliance.  

• Implements measures to increase employee morale, motivation and satisfaction, while reducing turnover  

• Coaches managers and employees through the performance management process  

• Ensures that high levels of customer service are met and that employees’ questions and concerns are resolved in a timely, professional manner and that investigations are conducted in a fair, unbiased manner across the region  

• Keep up-to-date with changes in federal and state/provincial legal requirements and that procedures are documented and followed  

• Consult with HR Managers to manage difficult/complex situations  

• Take ownership for resolving issues that arise and use the experience as a coaching and process improvement opportunity for the collective team 

• Partner with People Services Unemployment team to provide Unemployment data, trends, and provide feedback back to the Field team. 

Position Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of previous experience as an HR Generalist or with a background in Employee Relations. Experience in BPO, high traffic HR Department preferred. Dealing with complex Employee Relations Issues

• High Level of Knowledge in Human Resources Operations and Policies with a Focus on Employee Relations.  

• Strong investigative skills and experience creating procedures around investigations.  

• Exceptional communication skills including effective listening and oral/ written communication  

• Good situational judgment in the context of supervisory counseling and conflict resolution  

• Working knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  

• Working knowledge of federal and state regulations as they pertain to HR 

Education

Minimum – Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Salary Range

The base pay range for this position is up to CAD $ 55,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience.
